Without a doubt the best in the business! What Kev and his team don’t know about timber frames isn’t worth knowing. Since I contacted Kev some 18 months ago about our Scotframe kit, he has been instrumental in the planning of our build, always staying in regular contact and always on hand to advise from that first phone call. The knowledge they have is priceless. Our beautiful home was erected in only 3 days which was mind blowing to see!!! I’ve never seen anyone work so efficiently and hard and with such attention to detail. If you are looking for someone to erect your timber frame please give these guys a call they won’t disappoint!! Kevin, Natalie and team did our Norframe kit build in April 2024 and overall it was a hugely positive experience from the initial contact, planning and then build phase. I cannot emphasise enough how helpful, accomodating and professional Kevin was throughout the job on site. The first week of the job was stressful for me with the volume of activity to manage, but Kevin was reassuring but also clear about what he required to make things a success. He managed his team through a complex build and was always on hand to discuss, adjust and steer to make sure the job remained on track. You would have never known that this was CJC's first Norframe kit given how quickly they got on with the erection.
On a job of this size (c.300sqm extension with flat roof link) of course you expect issues and changes that will need to be dealt with. I am pleased to say they were dealt with promptly, nothing was ever a problem and the extras we asked for were done to an excellent standard.
Overall, I genuinely felt that Kevin was on my side to get the best possible outcome from the build. Everything done was considered and based on a wealth of experience that we ultimately benefitted from. I would simply summarise that you need to look no further if you need a best in class outfit to fit your timber kit. We are delighted with our new house thanks to Kevin, Natalie and team. A huge thank you to the whole CJC family!

I would highly recommend CJC Timberframe Ltd. They erected my self- build home in Dumbarton in April. Kevin and his team were very professional with a friendly manner. The site was small and difficult to access, however Kevin was able to suggest a Manitou rather than a crane to lift the panels, resolving this issue. There were problems with the kit manufacturer’s measurements, however with Kevin’s due care and highly skilled workmanship, he was able to resolve these issues too. Their work was plum and level and exceeded our expectations. We are extremely happy with the finished product. CJC were a pleasure to have on site, they started early and didn’t even stop for lunch! They were very reasonably priced and their quote included fitting the windows, which other kit erectors did not include. Building your own home is extremely stressful, dare I say, they actually made the process enjoyable. If I were ever crazy enough to embark on another self-build project, I would not hesitate in using CJC Timberframe Ltd again!!
